I dreamed I was in a car.
We saw a cop
urinating on a child.
Report it to the police, we said.
And a voice said,
wait.
Remember that video you watched?
Of a man who urinated
on an older woman on the plane.
You moved on from the movie
and kept circling back to it.
Finally, in self-defence,
you watched the entire video,
and wondered why.
This is why.
Do not assume.
Question.
We saw the child had a wound,
a wound which can be helped by urine.
In this emergency,
the cop did it,
urinating on him.
I woke up,
the voice still hitting me
with questions.
Question everything.
That is how you arrive at answers.
Do not just accept anything.
Question.
